The Craftsmen of Life is a community outreach of Life Church Mobile which utilizes trades/craftsmen (and women) or those who just want to lend a helping hand to assist our members in need with home repairs and general maintenance. It operates under the covering of Great Commission International (GCI) the mission arm of Life Church.
The actions of this outreach group are based on Galatians 6:10 which reads, “Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.” MSG The vision is to grow in love, servant hood and fellowship as we become better organized to respond quickly to the needs of those within our community of faith.
This outreach was birthed in 2012 out of the Christmas Outreach of Life Church of Mobile. During that outreach we responded to several families in our community that were in need of simple home repairs. God moved on the hearts of a small group of men and women to use the talents and abilities that God had blessed them with along with a willing heart to make an impact on some very special situations. What has happened since that date has been nothing short of miraculous. We give God the credit for raising up such a special blend of people with a united vision to help others.
We consider it an honor to assist those in need in our church community. The photos below represent some before and after images of a few of the projects we have completed. A big thank you goes out to all of the businesses and volunteers that have helped us make a difference in our community.
